January*** After shaking the snow off our feet and taking a break from shoveling our customers braved the cold to come out for 3rd Friday. Thanks to everyone who came out and warmed up our cottage.
Announcing ...."The Artist's Table"
Beginning in February Cedar Creek Stained Glass will be hosting"The Artist's Table". is is a new Thprogram for 2010, designed to introduce new artists that have not formally shown their work before. The Table Shows, will run for one month from 3rd Friday to 3rd Friday. All ages, and all mediums will be considered for showing. Please contact us through our contact form with an email address, and phone number to schedule an appointment to show us your work. Details about showing provided upon acceptance.
February*** February 19 thru March 18. Yajaira Montero is our first "Artist Table Artist for 2010. Her work is inspiring, elegant, colorful, and exciting.and beautiful! She sculpts in polymer and designs and makes some of the most beautiful jewelry I've seen using glass beads as well as other design elements to create one of a kind pieces. Her opening reception will be on 3rd Friday in February. Come o

March*** In true style, March has come in like a lion with strong winds and the hint of what remains from three months of snow. By this time of the year we all have cabin fever, and crave the sunshine that brings brighter more colorful days. Speaking of color, we have it. Especially on the Artist's Table until March 18th. Yajaira Montero's jewelry will sparkle and brighten your spirit and her Angels will inspire you. So come on out of your cabin, get some fresh air and add a little color to your life. Keep your eye out here for news on the next artist for the "Table"...It's official, Amy Brewer, from Riverfront Pottery will be the featured artist for "The Artist's Table". Her reception will be on 3rd Friday March 19th and her show will run until April 22nd. Amy's medium is thrown pottery. More to come on this talented artist!
Amy With Flute Ensemble Members
April/May*** Finally, the air has warmed, plants are blooming, song birds have returned and are nesting, and so the arrival of spring begins. What a welcome change after this winter. Amy Brewer's reception was a blast. Unknown to either of us when we booked her show, she was also part of a flute ensemble that was the entertainment for 3rd Friday in March. Amy was busy running between the store and the Copper Plate at the other end of the Village on High that night performing, then back at the store greeting customers. Whew, what a trooper! Lots of oo's and ahh's and sales! By the way, that's Amy holding the flute!
Coming this month just in time to inspire your home and garden decorating are the beautiful and whimsical painted gourds by Debbie Pasquale. Large, small, carved, painted, birdie condo's and more will be on the Artists Table beginning on 3rd Friday in April, with an extra month to show until 3rd Friday in June.These are beautiful fine craft works that I am pleased to offer my customers.
RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY...Debbies show started out wonderful! The storm clouds held back and visitors started to stroll in. In spite of the threatening clouds and the eventual rain we again had a full house, lots of fun, and many birds will now have new spring homes thanks to our customers. If you haven't been in to see this incredibly beautiful, whimsical show, well quite honestly your missing out!! Take a break and come on down. Your birds will love you for it.

June*** The Artist's table for June will be something totally different. This month we will be honoring the Art of Writing for The Artist's Table, featuring Willa Mae Kent a local author. Her first book, "Titanic The Untold Story", was published in 2008 and she is currently working on her second book. Come meet Ms Kent and hear her talk about her first book and her inspiration behind her new book. Books will be available for sale and signing by the author.
What a great time we had with Ms. Kent! We were packed with standing room only spilling over to the courtyard at The Village. Willa told amazing stories about the notable passengers on the Titanic, with portraits of them in charcoal and pencil by Rick Rehyman a local artist. She also told very informative stories that dispelled some of the many myths that surround the history of the Titanic. Thanks to everyone again for coming out and supporting The Artists Table.
July &August
Well it's hard to believe that in August we will celebrate our one year anniversary. Where does the time go? In spite of an election year, economic instability at the local, state, and national level, a winter that stopped everyone in their tracks literally, you our customers have made it possible for us to continue and expand! Beginning in July, we will also acquire Cottage F at The Village on High, right next to Cottage E. I'll be moving the working studio into Cottage F. This will allow a large space to work in and a place to hold those classes that so many of you have requested. On 3rd Friday in July you'll see these changes and on 3rd Friday in August we'll be having a Birthday Party. Throughout July and August we'll also have lots of special eventsNOT JUST ON 3RD FRIDAY. Why? Because every day is a 3rd Friday Gala at Cedar Creek Stained Glass Gallery & Studio!!

August ***Come join us this 3rd Friday to celebrate our one year anniversary. This 3rd Friday, we will have the art work of Jen Kirchner, one of our Millville artists showing her oil paintings. Her work is bright, imaginative and inspiring. You don't want to miss this show. Jen will be here to talk about her work. We will also have on hand the other artists that have been featured at The Artist's Table. During this special 3rd Friday, all of Taqwa Glass Studio creations are on sale for 15% off. So if you've been eying any of Christie Andreson's creations this is the perfect time to visit. This sale ends in August. I would like to thank all of our friends and customers for their support during this past year. You have given me an amazing and wonderful first year. Hope to see you all at the party! THIS HOLIDAY SEASON 2010/2011
We are only given the moment, the seconds in life. No guaranty for the next second, let alone the next day. In this past week, I watched my world spin out of my hands. As I contemplated about what was happening, my priorities became real clear. When a life changing experience is glaring down at you, one that you did not choose, you are faced with doing the only thing you need to do, which is to adjust your priorities and care for those you love. With that in mind my choice was to close my brick and mortar location in Millville, NJ and bring Cedar Creek Stained Glass back to the Creek where it all started after I returned to NJ.
I want to thank all of my friends and customers for their support this past year. I have met some wonderful people that have inspired me, and more that confirmed stained glass as an artistic medium.
So the story is not over! We're just moving on to the next chapter. Our last week will be 3rd Friday in November. So if there is something you have been holding off buying, now is the time to come in!
Thank you again, especially the bookworms...you know who you are...
